Robot Dreams with Allison Cowart

I had a dream that a robot was trying to wake me up. The robot was Allison from improv class. I knew it was her because sometimes her robot face would change into her human face.

She would come at me wiggling her robot fingers in my face to wake me up. I was pretending to be asleep and trying really hard not not to wake up. After a while Robot Allison finally got tired.

When I got up I found Robot Allison asleep in my bed. She looked so peaceful in her robot gear...so shiny and pretty.

Thanks Robot Allison. I know deep down inside you were sending me robot love and I appreciate it.

BTW Allison is the cute red head behind my sad ass...I was nervous about going on stage that night.

Social Media | Twitter Widgets and Badges

If you are in need of Twitter badges or widgets for your website or blog I found a link in the Twitter forums.

I used a profile widget for my blog. They have easy instructions to follow so have no fear...you can do it!

If you select a profile widget you can do some customizing like change the color palette and size.

Hope it works for you.

And thanks Twitter folks you make social media easy :)

My half ass Oscar predictions

My predictions are half ass because I didn't see all these movies and I bet you didn't either. If you want a ballot ABC.com has a nice one you can print. That's the one I am using for tonight.

Let's start with the hosts for tonight's Oscar event Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. I'm a big fan of these guys because they make me laugh. One has a head full of white glory and the other has a head full of black soul. Love them both.

Anyway let's get on with predicting.

Chickenshoot!

I found out that Chickenshoot wrote about our  Facebook game, Cold War Clambake, a few weeks ago!

It made me feel special to know that people are talking and writing about us :)

Chickenshoot is Deanna a very talented animator and writes dark children's books and is a good friend of mine. Please take a moment to look at her site. One of my favorite books is The Lonely Sea Monster. She also has cute prints on Etsy

I heart her a lot.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dallas Social Business Boot Camp | My favorite things

Yesterday I attend the Dallas SBBC and walked away with some helpful tips. Maybe you can use them too :)

1. Google Profiles. Even though I know about Google I didn't know about this until Cynthia Smoot shared this with us. Way to go girl and thanks!

2. Website grader. Want to know how your website's marketing effectiveness is doing? Check out Website Grader. It's created by Hub Spot. Rick Burnes is a marketing manager at Hub Spot and did a great job presenting yesterday.

3. Claim your name. Use Namechk to see if your name is available on social networking sites and social bookmarking sites.

4. The Zen of Social Media Marketing book. Shama Hyder Kabani breaks down social media and social media marketing for all of us. Thank goodness :)

6. Blogs. If you want people to read your blog then read other people's blogs and leave comments. That's what I'm doing now :)

Thanks to Bev Garvin for getting SBBC setup!

Cold War: Clambake now playing on Facebook!

My company, Big Daddy's Chicks Productions, just recently launched our game app on Facebook. Whee!!!

The game is the first element in a much bigger transmedia franchise. In addition to the Facebook game we are also broadcasting original “missions” or stories from “The Butterpat Files” blog via our website www.coldwarclambake.com. Accompanying mission reports are broadcast via twitter at http://twitter.com/coldwarclambake

And we were recently on our local news channel:

We have big plans for the future of the franchise – additional games, animated shorts, virtual world, and television series or feature film….big, fun, plans.

If you are interested in playing, which I hope you are, please go to our app on Facebook.

Thanks SO MUCH :)
